My “discovery” of this location dates back 2012 when I participated in the Magic Kingdom’s 24 hour Leap Day event. Much earlier in the morning, I had joined the throng of guests who, like me, awoke early in excited anticipation of a pre-sunrise entry to the Magic Kingdom. Later in the day, I took a quick trip to the Contemporary Resort in search of sunblock and food. It was during this visit that I happened upon a remarkably vacant outside sitting area, just off the north end of the Grand Canyon Concourse. I enjoyed the view so much that I’ve come back to it often since. I am please to be able to provide you with a similar view, albeit from a slightly improved vantage point. Monorails come and go, as do guests, cast members, and vehicles. It’s a busy but enjoyable space, full of sights and sounds in all directions. Just be sure to head inside before that approaching storm arrives.
